I grew up on our farm, which was originally a dairy farm, and then eventually we raised beef cattle as well as row crops. As the farm became smaller over the years I began to look to alternatives that would work on a smaller acreage. In 1994 I was introduced to emus. I fell in love with them and the many beneficial healthy products that they produce. What more could I ask for than to be able to raise something that I truly enjoy which also provides healthy alternatives for people as well as our animal friends.
Sundance Emu Ranch is a Farm to Finish Emu operation near Lawrence, Kansas. The eggs from the farm raised birds are hatched in incubators and are personally raised by Ann, to become breeder or process birds in a happy and healthy environment. The birds live in large safe pens and houses, free from antibiotics or hormones.
Sundance Emu Ranch carries a full line of AEA Certified Fully Refined Emu Oil and Emu Oil Products (for people) Animal Grade Emu Oil Products (for our animal friends), USDA Inspected Emu Meat, and Emu Eggs (blown & sanitized for decorator purposes) or Fresh Emu Eggs for eating (in season – approx. November thru April).
